I Found Some Money Saving Vacation Ideas Recently!
February 6, 2010
Even though the economy is bad, we still need a little vacation now and then. I’ve been doing some research into saving money while still having a nice trip. Based on my time spent on several travel sites, it seems that the major online websites all can find good travel deals if I can be a little flexible.
The choice of travel website should not only include finding the lowest price for car, hotel and air travel, you also want a company with a reputation for arranging a vacation without problems. I can look for the best prices on airfare and hotel rooms, but if I find a travel destination where I can drive my own car, it might save me even more. One obvious choice is Southern California.
You’ll find a bunch of information and advice related to Southern California at the SoCal Vacation Guru website. At the present time, the site places particular emphasis on Orange County and Los Angeles County, with the stated goal of expanding its attention to San Diego County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County. There is very useful information at the SoCal Vacation Guru on Universal Studios, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, beaches, shopping dining, hotels and other facets of your vacation.
I mentioned above just a couple of the seven major theme parks in Southern California, the complete list being Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Legoland. Of course visiting all of those would not be particularly cheap, but you could fit a lot of vacation fun into a short period of time. The slow economy is unfortunate, but there are great deals on hotel reservations to be found if your budget allows for it, with many vacation-oriented businesses really wanting your business.
You might also get better deals now for tickets to theme parks, museums and other activities. Rather than flying to your vacation destination, you may find that, even with the crazy behavior of gasoline prices recently, you can save money by driving to Southern California this year.
